Director Hana made the classic Lovecraftian horror short Autumn Harvest (2014) then stumbled with the horror/comedy misfire Sister Hell (2015).
There is no such stumble here as Hana presents fragments of documentary footage detailing the impact of the discovery of alien life forms on Earth.
From.Beyond is ambitious and, as one would expect from Hana, audacious.

Hana previously made the serial killer short film Angst, Piss & Drid in 2013 and is currently on a very successful festival run with his latest horror short called Sister Hell.
Angst, Piss & Drid has its admirers, which I don’t count myself among, but Autumn Harvest instantly establishes Hana as a talent to watch very closely.
